…is the title of a fresh book published by Springer and edited by Mikael Collan, Mario Fedrizzi, and Janusz Kacprzyk. The topic of the book is rather widely the use of fuzzy technology in answering a number of problems. Included are both theoretical and application oriented chapters. You can find the book information here.
The book is also a token of appreciation for the long career of prof. Christer Carlsson, who is one of the pioneers of fuzzy logic in Finland and a long time researcher of real options.
In connection with the publication of the book a seminar was arranged in the new premises of the Department of Information Systems at Åbo Akademi, at a building called “Åhuset” = “river house”, which resides right next to the Aura river that flows through the city of Turku. Present were a dozen or so researchers interested in fuzzy logic and soft computing and some members of the Finnish RO society.
